🎯 Refining Our Purpose
Our mission became clear:
To support people in coping with grief and loss through a guided emotional process centered around the belongings left behind by their loved ones.
This refined goal now guides our design decisions, our wording, and our roadmap.
Usability testing meets emotional clarity
This week, we paused the building — and started listening. We ran our first usability test using Loveble a fast prototyping tool that let us bring our prototype to life and test it with real people. Three participants aged 54 to 62 walked through the experience. And they didn’t just use the app — they felt it.
💬 What did we learn?
We saw moments of clarity, confusion, connection — and that was exactly the point. Here’s a glimpse of what stood out:
The idea resonates deeply. Users were touched by the concept of preserving memories through stories, especially when tied to objects left behind by loved ones.
But some steps were unclear. The onboarding wasn’t guiding enough, some prompts felt too open, and the emotional framing of the “parting decision” needed work.
The emotional weight of the task surfaced clearly. In some cases, users paused not because the interface was unclear, but because the decision to part with an object touched something personal. That moment of hesitation taught us how real and human this journey truly is.
We believe that meaningful design doesn’t just look good — it feels right. And this week was a powerful reminder of that.
